  1. And if you didn't create the links yourself – whatever you do don't mention that. Google created and facilitate negative SEO – but don't allow you to ever mention it back to them.
"Spam for Cash" is real – and Google invented it.

  2. It's easy and simple, as a requestor, one needs to be as comprehensive as possible in order to get the highest probability of being reconsidered. I mean, I'm with everyone else here, it isn't easy when your hardwork's all gone to the drain and you'd still have to work it out again by asking for reconsideration or the works in order to get the chance of having your site back up and running.

  3. What a joke. Google itself hosted suspicious activity 41 times during the past 90 days. Search for "Google Safe Browsing diagnostic page for google.com" on google and click the first link.
I get hacked on an old legacy server once after 12 years which I decomission at once and redirect DNS to a save site but has to wait and wait and get stigmatized by google.
A warning mechanism is super but be prepared to manage it otherwise you do more damage (to innocent people) than you wish fore.

  4. Where this enigmatism is coming from'? If you penalized the site, then you know why, right? Why aren't you telling us so that we will know what's the problem to go fix it, don't you want better sites in general in the net or you want sites to have problems and get more problems? Then if all websites will have problems why people will need you?

  5. If this video had been made by Apple, it would have been 1000 times more condescending. They would have probably begun their video with "Dear Samsung-using retards, …"

  6. People stop using Google Products at end they will hurt you not help you can you see the bigger picture .. they want you to use Google Chrome , Google Webmaster tools, Google Analytics …Cant you see what they doing to all of us…. they know more about ur site then you.. Google becoming CONTROL Freeks..

I agree, that was just what I was going to send in my reconsideration request. We need to know more about what exactly happened. Google's got the tools, right? It's shouldn't be hard for a multi-billion dollar company to write a small notification tool for this specific issue.
Right now, the dashboard tells me: "No data available. (Why not?)" Clicking "why not" tells me to try a "site:example.com" search -> no results. Then in this video they tell me to wait a little while…

  8. For the longest time, search results for my site kept increasing until it got to about 35,000 search results and then one day it dropped all the way down to 2,000 search results. What would cause that?

  9. In this vid they say that the problem probably isn't duplicate content, but I seriously think this is a lie. I've had a bunch of sites with pages of original content and a few articles taken from elsewhere and they've been deindexed for no other reason I can think of.

God I'd love to get a straight answer from them on WHY a site has been deindexed.

  11. I am also having very hard time with contacting google. NO replys ever! I am losing business daily. I do not spam and they do not help! If it looks like I am spamming it is because of my adwords account. HELP! if something does't happen soon my husband suggested I take them to small claims court for loss of business.

  12. Being number ONE site in the world has lots of responsibilities, google does very good penalizing – when I search for a pharmacy online I want to get real online pharmacies not Viagra sellers and other idiots who want to sell viarga.. I say PENALIZE ALL SMART S'S it works!!

  13. Wouldnt it be great if Google actually gave reason for sites being pulled from the index. It could be anthing. Are there any tools tehre that give us a hint of what can be wrong?

  14. The data in this video just isn't true. It might have been at one time — but it is not true now.

The vast majority of Reconsideration Requests are never read or processed.

The purpose of this form is to fool people into believing that Google cares about the quality of search results.

The ugly reality is that Google cares about Adwords. The natural search results are a dead project for them.

The message is clear: If your site is accidentally penalized due to a Google error: Buy Adwords.

  15. are you guys reading these comments? here's a question: you say to wait and be as detailed as possible in reconsideration request – but the submittal form just has a small text box!

Would it be acceptable/easier to record some kind of video w/ screenshots and link to that for the recon request? Ie instead of reading lots of text?

  16. Appreciate the tips, but am still uncertain if Im doing this right. I've been diagnosing what could be wrong for 2+ months now and sent in about 3-4 requests, each with additional info as I think of it, with probaby a week between each. Is that too frequent? Is 1 month long enough to wait to see if a request makes any difference?
I dont see how its possible to batch everything up before sending when livelihood is at risk…
