Music Marketing Strategist Jesse Cannon delves into several crucial strategies for musicians looking to market their music effectively with little to no budget. It emphasizes the importance of a good idea over having a large budget for music videos, leveraging one’s musical bio to shape public perception, and the technique of incrementally building a fanbase by strategically releasing new songs to promote older ones. It also covers the underrated power of television for music discovery over popular platforms like TikTok and Spotify, and provides detailed steps for using Spotify’s algorithm to an artist’s advantage. Additionally, it outlines how to schedule music releases and use social media for extended promotion, stresses the significance of identifying with a genre or creating a niche for targeted marketing, and concludes with tips for choosing the right ‘link in bio’ tools for musicians in 2024.

This guy is a scam
Fuck y talking so fast
If TV is the #1 way new music is discovered do you have a video covering how to get placement on TV shows?
let’s go artists !!!
Jesse, here's a funny question – I've seen this scenario before with lots of peers.
1. You put some music out, it does ok for a while but then you kind of lose steam
2. Time goes by, and you decide 'this isn't working, I need to get my groove back, it's time to REBRAND as a different artist'.
The skeptic in me thinks that the 're-brand' is not actually that necessary, even if your ego is telling you that you need to distance yourself from your past stagnation.
What business / marketing reasons would make a rebrand worth doing? Are there any examples of projects which should have rebranded?
do you have any tips on how to do all of this while working a full time job? This seems like a full time job in and of itself and let's not forget that we are supposed to find time to also make the actual music.
Great advice
Though unfortunately everynoise is basically dead
Hello Jesse, I just wanted to take the time to thank you for your knowledge. I watched your channel when starting this band and we just recently announced our first nationwide tour to our 45k follows on IG and 15k followers on Tiktok and I can honestly say your tips is what helped me learn the ropes of being a successful DIY band. Listen to this man folks, there is no excuses if you're a serious musician not to.
simply awesome!!! great vid. thanks
Why does nobody talk about music marketing on Reddit? I added my music to a basketball highlight video and posted that video to basketball Reddit pages. The highlight video got 200k views and my song went up 5 Shazams. Not much but it all happened for free
I love Jesse
Love this compilation. Helps those of us who avoid doom scrolling. Much love man, you're the best!
Yeah you don’t need money you just need to get on a late night TV show
Thanks Jesse! I like this video style. I often save them to a playlist for inspo and reference
I actually liked you and Nic commentating on each others approach. It was net positive for me, but it’s understandable that value like that is lost out on most of the audience.
With the help of watching and not listening to Jesse, endless grinding and sleepless nights this past year I’ve managed to pull in 2 monthly listeners 💪🏻 3 streams🤯0 saves🔥AND 0 playlists adds🙌🏻👑💯💵🙏🏻couldn’t have done it without u all 🙏🏻💯 dreams really do come true 🔥🙏🏻👑💵💯🙏🏻🔥

Man, you are doubling down on Nic D!
Does every channel have to go vertical for a full length YouTube video. Cool its for shorts but cutting corners is not the way.
