On February 26, 2009, Google software engineer Matt Cutts collected questions on Google Moderator and answered many of them on video.
Laura Thieme from Columbus, OH asked:
I have a client who was hacked. The SEO consultant said things were cleaned up, but they weren’t correctly. All 30,000 Viagra/Cialis type and paid links have been removed but no improvement in SERPs. We sent reconsideration. What do we do now?

Simple steps to follow, but not necessarily easy. Being hacked would be one of a website owner's nightmare, but to think about it logically, one just needs to step up in his game and retrieve whatever it is that they could. My only question is, if all of these were already done, but you still fail to retrieve what has been lost, are there any other ways?
I was just hacked everything on my computer (I am on my friends right now) was deleted. Can i get it back? Can it be fixed? I am so confused and unhappy D:
What to do ?? an hero.
yo matt, what should you do if you've tried all that and still no response? eg. multi reconsider requests , followed up on suggestions from forum, even went to google meetup w thatadamguy – but no conclusive reason found for penalty?
