  1. Wonderful, Thanks for clarifying the rumors that Page performance is of utmost importance. This is used as a Tool by SEO Agencies to put pressure back on client if they fail to give desired results and put blame on page performance.

In industries such as Real Estate for example if we have to sell luxury property then we have to show more contents which will affect the page performance as clients want to show more picture and videos on the page, even though we take into consideration best optimizations practices as mentioned by you as loading minimal JS, Minimal Css and lazy loading of images, caching, cdn etc. however this is not practical all the time and Google should be more flexible when it comes to Page Performance. If we want to have an optimal page performance then companies have to spend hefty amount on website development and as you know majority of website owners don't want to spend huge sums on website performance unless its not making them good profit.

However in certain cases we still face performance issue as our site visitor source keeps changing which may increase the page load time for some reason.

Generic Question to Audience, Performance is important but it should not be the core ranking factor? What do you say viewers?

  2. I'd love to see content with suggestions and best practices specifically for Shopify sites. It's the biggest e-commerce provider out there but they have some weird default settings (e.g. their URL structure for collections and products).
