so many artists skip this step and then wonder why their lyrics never show up on spotify, rollout prep matters way more than people realize. I have been using pophatch to check what's actually set up right before a release goes live instead of finding out after the fact.
My bands Music was being delivered fine by Musixmatch. THEN! they introduced this new feature where you had to pass quiz's to contribute to lyrics even your own music. The UI was awful the play button on the audio wouldn't work. I passed the testing then added the lyrics to my new song. When I went to the new screen to time sync the music. Then said my music can't be accessed due to not being the rights holder (I AM) anyway I went through the due process to fix this issue didn't receive the 2fa code to my band email. Been a month since this song came out and no fix! HUGE BUMMER this website isn't as good as it used to be but I don't know of any other free websites to deliver my lyrics.
