  1. How Musicians With No Fans Make $100k Off Merch

Musicians with no fans making $100k off merch typically leverage their personal brand or niche appeal to create unique, high-quality merchandise that resonates with a specific audience. By focusing on creating exclusive and limited edition items, utilizing social media and online platforms to reach potential customers, and offering a seamless purchasing experience, these musicians are able to generate significant revenue even without a large fan base. Additionally, collaborating with other artists or influencers and offering merchandise at live events or pop-up shops can help drive sales and increase visibility for their brand.

  2. I've messed around with sites like RedBubble by making shirt designs that I'd want to wear myself if I were a fan. I tried ordering a shirt myself and the quality was much better than I thought it'd be. I've also made some stickers with my logo, name, and a QR code in the middle that links to my LinkTree which I stick to bathroom walls of venues, although this hasn't exactly paid off… like, even less than I thought it would haha

  3. Hey Jesse, which do you recommend as a release strategy for an eventual EP or album: The waterfall method (where release 1 has song 1, release 2 has song 2 and song 1, etc), or just releasing each song as a single, and then compiling all the songs into an EP/album at the end? In both cases the end result is having the full album released, but is one method clearly better than the other in terms of getting streams/getting the algorithm to work in your favour?

  4. This is one of the most valuable and informative channels for anyone looking to succeed in the music industry. I'm a huge fan of your work. Your new video format is great and very effective. But please throw that blue mic in the trash!!! It sounds awful and it’s not a good look. You holding that blue mic the entire video, well it just looks awkward. Oh, and did I mention it sounds bad?

Pro Tip: Get yourself a quality lavalier microphone setup. It will give your videos better-quality audio and will free up your hands. This will allow to me be more naturally expressive and animated, the way you would if you were face to face with the listener.

There, I said it. I feel the information on this channel is too important and bring such great value to the community that it should not be demolished or limited due to poor audio quality.

  5. Your content makes sense, but I can’t help but think you’re great at telling us what to sell and how to sell it INSIDE our “shops” but if no one’s coming through the doors how is any of this going to work? Maybe I’m just pessimistic but having success in or outside of the industry seems almost impossible.

  6. Great video and information.
I think it's really important for artists to have shirts to sell at shows. Ways to keep costs down.
1 color designs (like white ink on black shirts)
Decent blanks (Gildan Soft Style, Bella canvas, or next level)
Get a quote from a local print shop and try to get a better deal from their competitor.

Don't forget to pre-sale your merch as soon as you have a mockup. This also helps you get an idea of what sizes to invest in.

  7. Yeah, I need to clean up my Merch and website for sure. Been neglecting it lately. Now is probably the time. Thanks Jesse! 🤘🤘 Your time management skills must be god-tier.

  8. think you already have a video on NFTs but if you have a chance do another one on how bands can use non fungible tokens to of course make more money…you research and knowledge is priceless ..
