  1. Spot on with the tips, Jesse! Short, sharp content is key. Been experimenting with Boost App Social to jazz up my tracks and clips. It's subtle, but makes a world of difference. Curious if any other musicians here have given it a whirl?

  2. So, I was wondering about music. If you have an underperforming song, should you delete it the same way as you'd delete a tiktok? Especially if it might be considered a stain on your catalog or should you still keep it because some people might still enjoy it

  3. So 1 trick I figured out for saving hashtags is using the app trello. Making a card in there and copying the hashtags over. Then when I post that style of video on tiktok I just copy paste and that has been working really well so far.

  4. I was previously discussing with my band that trick we'd put our song on a trend and mute The original trending sound from it, but we thought isn't it a little too sneaky to do so? 🧐 wouldn't tiktok punish for doing that? Thank u anyway for these videos, I found loads of good ideas from them 🙌

  5. Since you seem to know a lot on this subject – perhaps you can help me out on this dilemna I am encountering. I first post an Instrumental version of my song with a Vizy video. After a period of time I post a vocal version of the same song. On the short reels that I post on IG and Tik Tok I have no problems – but on the full versions my audio track is muted on both IG and Tik Tok citing copyright claims and violation. IG states "possible" copyright violation, and TIK TOK states that there has been a copyright claim on that video. IT IS 100% my song and video, and I own 100% of the rights to it. There is no way of contacting TIK TOK or disputing the claim. I don't even know where the claim is coming from. If you can help me solve this, I will be eternally grateful.

  6. I posted to tick-tock’s of me making remixes to famous rappers songs and they didn’t get that many views but I looked at somebody else that has 170,000 and his first TikTok got 40,000 views so I don’t understand

  7. What did you mean by tell TikTok about what you like about other rappers? If I’m Tryna post tick-tock’s of me rapping my songs, why would I post a TikTok about me talking about what I like in rappers

  8. TikTok is so discouraging for me, I'll make an IG reel that does great but then I'll post the same exact video on TikTok (with no watermarks) and it doesnt do nearly as many numbers. I only have like 65 followers on TikTok and sometimes get up to 2k views, is that good? Thanks for these videos they keep me from giving up on this app.

  9. My band and I have been making music for a couple of years now and are just starting to put out tracks on streaming platforms. I very much appreciate this information, dude!

    To anyone reading this
Feel free to give feedback on our tracks if you want

  10. Long videos are the exception to the rule but they CAN work. One of my most-viewed tiktoks (nearly a million views) is a 2 minute 45 second long video. But when I posted that one, my other videos were already doing good in the algorithm. I had over 20k followers who liked me for a hyper-specific niche. And the long video was about something I knew a lot about in that niche, that not many other people were talking about. (And I've been a wannabe-youtuber for years so I know how to present to camera.) Long videos are ok as long as the whole thing is entertaining. It can't slow down for even half a second.

  11. Jesse thanks again for all this good content. How would you recommend dealing with copyright things on tik tok? Since I’m an electronic DJ, I started a series of mixing some new releases I’m into and the one I did today got muted. But I see similar content using copyrighted material.

  12. Heeet you said my word Xceptional @ 6:30 🤣 – I appreciate how non jargonistic you seem compared to some of these other music marketing accounts. Trying this today with 3 blviseos 3 lengths 3 different kinds of engagements 1 goal lol I’ll filter and figure out the specifics right now haha
