  1. I have a question regarding the budget. The minimum recommended is 5 dollars, but is it still good if I use a lower budget for a longer time? Like 1 $/day for two months versus 5 $/day for 14 days

  2. This "AI" bs in music marketing is really hard to be convinced by as of now. Tried the Hypeditt "AI" ad campaign after watching the other video and all it really does is the bare minimum : identify which genre the artist you selected belongs in. Also offers the most basic target audience options like "Rhythms and Blues Music" and 5 others. You're really better off setting up your own facebook ad campaign manually and will waste way lesser money by targeting more accurately than hypeddit lets you, since it uses facebook ads anyway. You're basically better off saving that 9 dollars a month. Rare Jesse L I'm afraid.

  3. I setup this exact ad campaign pretty much. The link on the ad leads to the individual song of mine that I want to promote, not to the playlist I made (but I put the correct URLs in the correct places when setting up the ad). I don't imagine this is how it's supposed to happen, since I'm promoting the playlist, not the single. Whats the deal?

  4. Ah this is good… already have a Hypeddit account – actually just launched my own artist project and using Hypeddit and ads I've gotten to 6k monthly listeners and done close to 50k streams in a bit over 2 months, BUT … the "people also listen to" has not been clicking so this is a GREAT idea. Love it.

  5. I set up two ads the night this video came out. One to get conversions to my Spotify playlist (with myself & similar artists) as well as another to promote my latest single.

Wildly enough, not only did this create a “fans also like” section for me, but a few of the artists in this section are the largest artists in my specific niche / genre. So I’m happy it all worked out to say the least.

I’ve gone down the rabbit hole of watching your videos, and I’ve gone from 7 monthly listeners to 1,150. Even more importantly, the engagement on my YouTube & Instagram has been nonstop.

Edit: this is only my 2nd single, and I started releasing music at the end of August.

  6. Another pro tip, instead of just using the generic video they make for you, replace it with your own 9:16 vertical video that's actually something people might want to see in the facebook ads backend tool, and open placement targeting to include reels.

  7. But isnt promoting a playlist not as good as promoting yourself? Wouldnt that budget be better off building your profile and getting follows there instead of getting followers on a playlist?

  8. Has anyone actually tried this and being charged almost double the daily amount to Facebook? Spoke with Hypeedit and they said they were unsure to contact support but FB support is a joke.

  9. Their ad tool is fine for getting started, but I wouldn't recommend people use it unless they have no other option. The reason is, doing it yourself in Facebook ads manager gives you much more control over how you target your audience and the ad creatives you use. In my opinion the ad creatives it makes are the biggest culprit in bad performance, because the creatives make the biggest impact in the performance of your ad outside the song itself.

Using a static image with some wavy effect as your ad creative is boring and will almost always give a pretty bad cost per conversion compared to engaging footage. That being said, Hypeddit is a great tool for smart links for ads and for organic usage. My qualms are about their ad creation tool.

Sending people to a targeted playlist can help with related artists. I'd just caution people against spending too much of your budget. Sending people directly to your song will have a much higher save rate, playlist add rate and follow rate than sending people to a playlist. A good ratio is 90% of budget direct to song, 5% to playlist, 5% to profile to balance save rates, playlist add rates, follow rates, repeat listens and fans also like.

  10. I just recently used hyepeddit to grow my spotify playlist and it really works however – my playlist received a takedown notice from Spotify policy report email! It's frustrating because my title and image weren't copyrighted, and everything was within the guidelines. It seems like there are some jealous folks out there doing this. I've noticed this happening to many others as well. Any suggestions for a solution?

  11. Been trying this out but something isn't clear to me.
When I click on the smart link of my campaign, its directed to my song, but I thought this was for playlist promotion.
So am I promoting my song here or my playlist?

  12. question! why doesn’t botting help… at a smaller level. With really realistic listening patterns, and targetting micro-genres! Why don't i bot one of these playlists you're telling me to make? and I get the bot to target the microgenre from the everynoise? And program it very meticulously using AI?

  13. I have a question. I have made an album and my intention was to essentially create a new genre of music. Or at least I'm attempting that. It's hard to specify which genre it belongs to but if I had to quantify it, I'd describe it as vaporwave meets King Crimson. How would I go about marketing this? Thanks for the input from anyone and appreciate your videos

  14. I want to know more about the different use cases for FB and Insta ads. Totally agree they are often harmful, I think it would be great to see a video explaining the nuances of when and when not to use them.

  15. Thanks Jesse! This sounds awesome. I’ve been looking for a way to direct the Spotify algorithm to recommend me to fans of similar artists beyond just making my own playlists and tagging those artists and I’m super stoked about trying this technique! I’ve been using ToneDen's free tier for links, but it has its limitations. I’m going to give Hypeddit a try 🤘
