  1. Use both🤯 I honestly feel like the more publicity you get towards your release the better in any way. You could have somebody sayin "this song is on everyday I can't stand it" somebody is gonna figure out what that song is🤷🏾‍♂️

  2. Jesse, thank you for clarifying this. There is a lot of conflict as to why or how to use Facebook ads for promoting new music. Like you, I just don't trust the SOB in charge of the platform, and moreover, it makes total sense to promote with the other methods that you are teaching especially as a brand new Artist.
I've accumulated 7 fully produced, mixed and mastered original songs and I'm now pursuing the education I desperately need before I release my first song. You've shown me the importance of patience and strategy. I still have much to learn , but I refuse to be just another artist who gets less than a 1000 streams just to release another song that gets less than a 1000 streams. It's a shame but so many of my song producing/Artist friends are in that boat. Thank you for your videos, your books and your "in your face" approach. I really appreciate your work.

  3. After many years of working with music and getting many songs released officially by record labels, also not being very happy with such process, now I feel I am ready to spend some time on promotion and release songs on my own. Thanks a ton for all your effort and invaluable contribution!

  4. As usual, great video, Jesse. Changing my strategies as a result of this video — more focus on organic/content creation as opposed to paid FB or IG ads.

There are a handful of competent Internet marketing dudes on YouTube, but you get to the point quickly, cut through the BS, and make your points with irrefutable logic. Keep up the good work!

  5. Yeah, I've even been told by other artists, those who are slightly successful, that they use Facebook ads but the turnover is deceptive. Yes, they click. Yes, they count as streams. Do they stay? It's not all that different from paying for a playlist placement or a post, but with those there is at least the illusion of the viewer discovering it themselves, playlists at least integrate organically as they aren't literally being shown that you paid to show yourself to them. Ideally, do it all, every promotion. But by far working with others and collaborating and being consistent is what works best. Throw money at the problems you don't wanna put in the work for, I suppose. Or what you can't pay to do, make up for with what you can do.
