I wouldn’t be making music if it wasn’t for Coldplay
Great video
This is ai right? It’s very uncanny valley
Dude you're amazing. Merci! I'll give you a shoutout in one of my songs when I make it!
I've watched hundreds of videos on marketing and promotion and improving live performances and visibility online and I've done everything and nothing works its at the point that all of these videos are pointless
Jesse they’re getting rid of Koji at the end of the month what should I make the switch to?
The worst part is when someone bots you. Some sneaky companies will add you to a playlist with a url and of course they're selling plays. It hasn't happened lately though.
Great advice once again Jesse! The tip about using a Spotify canvas is actually really big and the stats are quite the eye opener. 🤟
The NZ stream aren't fake, it's all the sheep listening
Is releasing music every nonth with around 60 pieces of content that bad compared to dropping every two months like Spotify prefers. I'm getting kinda board pushing the same thing it will be a month in 3 days with around 60 pieces of content.
I write guitar dominant pop-rock songs in a mix of Avril Lavigne, 5 Seconds Of Summer and a bit more pop like Shawn Mendes and Niall Horan. Anyone in this genre wanna collab or write together?
So much value!! Thanks Jessie
These short clip compilations are cool man. I like this speed. Thanks!
Great advice! Any recommendations on which link-in-bio platform to use now that Koji is shutting down?
Dude thank you so much for the "tools to understand your music genre" section! Added those 2 to my spreadsheet. The hardest thing for me is finding artists in what I think is my genre or sub genre range, that aren't already super big, that I actually like lol.
Solid tips..
As far as collaborations, would advise against doing a collab with an artist that is in a completely different genre? I have a duo side project (Unanimous) with a friend who is primarily a rapper (Rhythmical Thinker), but him and I make hard rock. I wrote a song with him thats been a pretty successful release thus far for my primary project (Master Splinter) but I have an alternate version with him on vocals, so it would be both an alternate version AND a collaboration if we released it. Only hesitation I have is that it's a hard rock song and he's a rapper. What do ya think?
Just chiming in on the Kanye vs MGK but.. Kanye basically invented jumping on the table at boardroom meetings. Js
“Now some random girl in Ohio is getting 1000 new followers instead of their face tattooed rapper” 😂😂😂
😂😂 fkn love your instinct for brutal but fair sarcasm 😂😂
Great stuff Jesse. Where do I subscribe $ to the subscription vids?
Some solid advice here. thanks Jesse
Great video Jesse! I was wondering how you would differentiate content across YouTube, Instagram, X and TikTok? Especially for short form content, like how the same content should be altered if it's to be posted to Reels, Shorts, and TikTok. Thanks!
Yes.
I want to watch this video but just can't with the whole tik tok vertical, text thing going on
i'm not five and i don't have the attention span of a hamster. if that's what it takes these days i don't even think i want it
Huh, he didn't tell me to watch the video linked in the description very much in this video, wonder if Jesse's feeling ok.
So are we back to pre-saves is a waste of time or should I still ask for them and get emails?
I think everything you said here is good advise except the facebook ads part
As a New Zealander, I’m offended at the suggestion that we host bot farms 😂 Also, July and August is the middle of winter!
@10:53 I couldn't stress this enough to so many artists labels managers always pitching with their presaves in their pocket, way too much time is devoted to presaves its crazy. Thanks for being the only legit Music Myth-Buster Jesse!!
