  1. Amen! Thereโ€™s a reason my current musical project has been reduced to just myself and an old bandmate drummer, whom Iโ€™ve had a previous working relationship with. When I tried to unpack what I called the โ€œPrinceโ€ approach to production, that is, throw everything and anything you can think of at the song (in an attempt to see what sticks), and then peel back the layers from there, I got a lot of confused looks mixed with impulsive criticisms; which I took to heart to improve the song(s) anyway. Haha, maybe you need to address the value of experience and tenure in writing music, so as to help those who may be naive and even a bit narcissistic? Even though Iโ€™ve been writing and performing music since I was 13, I got an earful about how the โ€œprosโ€ do it…and, yet, here you are…spelling out the process Iโ€™ve had to learn through a lot of trial and error๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ And…Iโ€™m thankful to learn from pros like you!
