Just tell us how to score those festival spots get to the point.
WIth all due respect to everyone that uses these lines and hooks: "What if I told you?" "top 10 things you didnt know about a thing" "the reason why I am going to talk in a negative manner for the next 5-10 mins you would not believe!!!" "The real reason TikBookTube did this, watch out musicians!" "New Coke taste like dirt and I have the top 5 reasons why" "Microsoft and Apple are protecting our data better, should you be concerned?" I understand the reason why, other people made videos about how to make videos when your making videos because NEW ALGORITHM CHANGES FOR 2025! But there are 1000's of people running the same gambit for the million topics on youtube with the same similar format with all those "Gotcha" tricks. Its just weird, the same expressions on their faces and fear of not being in the know manipul-baiting titles, it all has a mood and scent of negativity to it, Like youtube is enemy of the common people…. NO if you want to be happy, create music that makes you happy OR create music that makes money and is marketable. Sometimes the music that makes you happy also makes a pile of cash. (with proper marketing or a lottery winning hook that goes viral). Most people do not have the drive (or time in lots of cases, to invest every waking moment to the craft) life, kids, job etc. Learn the craft and all aspects as well as you can and never stop learning. I write trippy/pink floydy/radioheady instrumentals that I love, its never going to beat Harry Styles on the billboard, but is marketable in soundtracks, videogames. I write acoustic tunes also, they have a better chance for main stream. But I have to become a master at marketing or become the next Oliver Anthony with talent that is undeniable. The negative smell on some of these advise things and the cookie cutter effect are such a turn off. I think these things you do are very valuable and a good service to the community. I try not to approach anything in life with these negative overtones, but im human and Im sure i do somewhere. Just me opinions. Love you all and be well!
