Thank you. I am really struggling with a roadblock on a song, and I found this helpful.
Typically I sing "where do we goooo nowwww" ironically and then drugs/alcohol but sure let's be professional 🙄
This will be one of those videos that I watch a few times a year for the rest of my life.
So glad I found this channel. I've been saying this for decades. Whiter shade of pale is a great example
Pls blow ur nose
From Marketing the music to make good music lol good all around channel
Didn’t know he listened to jay elec
I think a reason some people would add like a video game sound in something serious is for texture because if it’s all black or all blue that could get boring but reality is like a little bit of two contrasty things , u feel me ?
Got the book in the mail today. Pretty killer so far.
I just go draw a picture or work on the song when I need to leave in 10 minutes. All the brilliant shit.
Djent 15/8 breakdown in the bridge, especially if it's an urban flavoured pop song. 🤡
Just bought your book, thanks bro! I’m about to see where it takes me.
You gotta give a studio tour sometime! 😀
@0:58 I am taking notes. Please speak more on THIS in future videos.
Empathy, the secret ingredient to good music. Not everyone has empathy in addition to musical and technical skill.
I watched this a while ago, but I came back to comment because it's been super helpful. I was doing too much musician wanking that was fun for me, but losing the plot of the song. On this last arrangement, I told myself "you have to make the bass cry"…I used a wah.
New drinking game: take a shot when Jesse says "Emotion", "Emotions", or "Emotional"

1:21 damn banjo gets no love! If you like the 1975 tho I think The Birthday Party actually has my favorite application of banjo in any recent music I've heard. Thanks for making these videos btw, I've watched and enjoyed a ton of them, super helpful stuff for real.
Damn, that Jay Electronica / At the Drive In combo roast coming in out of nowhere
Wow these videos are so good i'm a little upset they are free!
You're 2 for 2 sir. "Like an adult swim show when you haven't smoked weed." This channel is gold, and absolutely exactly what I needed right now.
Yo! Glad to have found a producer that is also skilled at humor. you have my support XD
Can you make a video on the “kernel of Truth” idea you mentioned?
The mic clipping is absurdly terrible. It's so harsh on the ears. I can't take this seriously, I'm sorry, but you gotta figure your microphone out before you make content about any sort of AUDIO PRODUCTION.
Your audio quality on this video is very poor. It's hard to trust someone giving audio production advice that clearly doesn't know the basics of audio recording.
Great info! Just subscribed and bought both your books.
I have a feeling this channel is going to blow up in a year or two if you keep putting out content this good!
Great video! any tips on beating the imposter syndrome? I get stuck and really doubt my currect project and my skills.
