I keep coming back to this cause I’m guilty of hyperfocusing on a single element rather than the context of the entire mix
But a problem I run into a lot is ear fatigue cause I tend to really focus too much on a single part and then I make bad mix decisions, like make the piano too loud and drown out the rhythm guitar. Is there anything that can help combat this, aside from taking breaks? Is there a certain time I should mix to avoid ear fatiguing?
i don understand how this channel hasn't blown up already, there's so much gold in these videos
such good info lol
Divercity?
How can you sit there and preach about mix monitoring when the 2nd set of monitors in your stack are dented and punctured? There's no way you're getting a true high-fidelity sound with damaged equipment like that.
Jesse is a goldmine of info. I have your book and your youtube channel just keeps on giving!
Man this is real good
