  1. The problem with blueprint is someone find something that works for them and everyone flocks to it and the blueprint is no longer valuable. Ok everyone flooding social media everyday, creativity and competition is like oil and water.

Releasing a song a week can be a lot of work, and it may not be suitable for everyone's goals, style, or creative process.     The other "little secret" that Russ didn't tell people is that the real reason he got exposure was when he signed a label. But before that he was like everybody else of us artists. Once he learned all the tricks then he got independent but if he hadn't signed a label he probably would be struggling like the rest of us. He spends lot of money on ads to get traction on this tracks because he knows produces money too. So he basically re-invest in his own business what his songs produce for him. And believe, he is nothing cheap like $1K or something. We are talking about a good chunk of money on ads. So the Russ strategy is not like that. Unless you really are a good artist, and your song is really good one that you could say that the song itself acts as your own ad but for the rest that's not the case.

    I saw a guy doing the Russ experiment for 52W and he now have 139 listeners only. He only hit a sone with 30K but the rest is pretty sad. Not sure if anyone else did this experiment. Like I said, consistency doesn't equal to growing your data fanbase. It all depends entirely on the quality of the song and honestly unless you are a genius or using AI that really takes lot of work that is not definitely developed in just one week.

  3. The thing alot of people dont know about Russ is that he and his partner Bugus had alot of money at their disposal from Bugus inheritance to promote his music on the backend via youtube promo channels etc. Nothing is ever by chance rather by working smarter not harder.

  4. Great video. Here is what I wanted to mention and im sure you already know. If you have a solid fan base there is no need to release music weekly. Even Russ stopped that for a min once he gained momentum and started touring. But if you are in the beginning of your career I think there is no actual harm done. No one knows you and I truly believe something is better than nothing. That is only applicable if the artist is any good. Me personally, I've never done a song a week but I did a song monthly and no, I did not released everything I recorded. But I can honestly say that I can see the good benefits of it, specially as a writer.

  5. yall overthink put out songs as much as you can when one is doing better put some marketing behind al' he says is valid but if you are releasing to 50 people that shit dont matter they always say make a marketing campaign even if u do your 300 views wont keep em there … just stop thinking and release music youll evolve much faster than everyone else
