How will Google interpret links to URLs ending with a campaign tag?



Will Google interpret links to URLs ending with a campaign tag like ?hl=en (www.example.com?hl=en) as a link to www.example.com or to a completely different page? What about the SEO effect of inbound links?

  1. Thanks for the clarification Matt. I was kind of wondering the same thing just 2 days ago. Glad I saw your video and now have a clearer idea of how it works this time.

  2. I use a combination of url parameters, canonical and redirects to prevent indexing of certain pages. This with out a doubt is the best solution to prevent pages from being indexed or even duplicated.
