Good stuff jesse. Watching, learning, absorbing
Heyy brother
I'm watching from South Africa and ever since I started watching your content I've learnt so much and my perspective in terms of marketing has changed also starting to feel confident about my music.
Hey bro! I've been absorbing your channel like crazy. I appreciate your work. Thank you. Here's my question.
I'm currently building my studio. I spent 20 years away from music and it's time to return. I have a pretty solid plan. My question is in regards to a name. Is there any data to suggest if a real name is better or an artist name? My name is Mike so I thought about just using Mike G. I have a pretty kickass artist name picked out if I need it.
So my question is..what do you think? My name or artist name?
Thanks again!
👍
This is the type of thing where I think: it’s so obvious in retrospect. Thank you!
So knowledgeable 🤍i love it
"raw idiot charisma" i feel seen and understood 🥰
Thanks for all
The food for thought brother. ❤
Hey Jesse, I'm a bit of a dinosaur and catching up on everything I can, but I haven't seen where you might say an album release fits into this kind of plan. Anything you can say or point towards?
Great idea
Clear and concisce. Helpful
Jesse, great work man. How would the video release strategy work with edm music though, where there are no lyrics?
Yo, when you say "take off x week because it's slow" do you mean literally chill out and don't post anything those weeks?
Ok, I hope you see this comment cause I'm a little confused. You talk about releasing a song. I usually release an album. That means all the songs drop on the same day on Spotify, Youtube Music, etc… So are you saying we should be releasing singles? For example we release our last album in October. All 11 songs were on Spotify. Now that I've watched some of your videos it sounds like we need to release the songs individually over the course of a year for the consistent sustained promotion. I could use a little more clarification on what I should do going forward. Our new project should be completed and ready in about 3 weeks. It has 12 songs so I could conceivably use this project to CSP for 2 years? (That's assuming they are all great songs, which they probably aren't but just using as an example.) I would appreciate it if you could reply or point me to one of your videos where you talk specifically about the steps of releasing music using CSP. (The releasing part the video above already handles the promotion part) We have used Soundrop so far and I'll have to check with them to see how I would work with them to drop a single every 6 weeks and make sure they do it consistently. Currently I submit the project to them and just keep checking back until I see it is live on whatever platform. Sorry this is so long. 🙁
Yo this taught me so much, you’re a genius. 😊 I spend so much time thinking about what to do and staying offline. Your new fan here. 🤘
Is dropping content everyday a good strategy ?
Do you still like koji the best for link in bio?
What about producers who enjoy making a few different types of music? I make R&B, hip hop, EDM, funk, and neo soul and sometimes blend these genres. I feel like so much of the advice for finding "my community" and even fans doesn't apply when a fan might love one release and be thrown off by the next one, or when I'd fit into multiple communities. Any advice?
This dude talking and his head is bouncing left and right like he had 20 coffees just before he started filming, one day his head is gonna fall off and knock the camera down and he will finally get like a gazillion views. If i had to listen to him yakking in this manic state all day I'd actually give up on my dream and go join a monastery just to find some peace and quiet.
Wow great video. I'm definitely showing this to my Dad who's still making music and looking for his audience!
I've learned so much from your channel, Jesse. You're doing clear, savvy, and damned entertaining work. Takes the sting out of marketing for us artists while keeping a fire under our asses.
Hey Jesse. I have a question. Before I found your channel I released a full album with 0 fans, without using the single release technique. I am thinking to re-release these tracks as singles with your method. We have fans in the meantime but not more than 100. Do you think this would be a bad idea for any reasons? Or do you think I it can be done.
Thank-you for all that you do.
Great content. Listening to it over and over. Thank you.
Thanks for all this advice. Im still in highschool so I still have a lot of time to master my craft, but Im glad I found you now, so I understand the industry better.
Lol 😆 I like how you answer any comment that "Doesn't insult me" 🤣 You are a Legend
Hi Jesse, I'm in the UK and am finding it difficult to access info about how to start your own publishing company for your own music. Wondering if you have any knowledge please ? Thanks
Can you use fewer acronyms as they are effectively insider jargon and unless you happen to know – you don't. Very useful video otherwise though, thanks
Post every week with good music = growing fan base. Post every week with crap = throwing shit at the wall.
Did you work on let it enfold you??
This video made me laugh uncontrollably, those jabs would get to kanye with laser focus,🤣🤣🤣🤣😄😅
Really needed this video as I do more Consistent Sustained Promotion and steadily grow my audience, thanks Jesse! – LaynoProd
Your content is great
Looking at the release strategy. What if you had a Pre save Pre Order links before the distribution date.
Fuck me. There's so much value in this video, you're giving so many amazing tips and pointers! Thank you Jesse🤝
Thanks for helping bro❤❤❤
