Jesse is my favorite consultant in the game. I like Jend. He is a nice guy. But I'm not really moved by his music or see how it is sustainable to do well. But then again, I am headed to Amsterdam Dance Event, and there are tons of artist like him that have huge numbers on Spotify and music that is completely forgettable. So in Jend's defense – his music might be ok – but just not my personal cup of tea. Sorry to be negative but the goal is consistent long term success.
Jend's ad program is great. I still prefer Andrew Southworth's methods, but joining Jend's community is a good thing to do.
Any advice on how someone using the playlist method can follow up on contact with listeners?
π
Hey actually he only has 1.1m
27:35 All playlist curator platforms such as Submithub don't allow playlists with the title of a soundtrack.
Even though the songs in the playlist are similar to the soundtrack, they claim listeners won't listen to the song you're promoting.
Or they won't listen until the end, which ruins the algorithmic popularity score.
Making the changes they wanted has ruined the ranking of my playlists, so now I'm probably looking into either running my own playlist curation website or creating my own record label.
25:17 I got rejected by Submithub for doing this. They claim they don't want playlists with the title of a remix.
Submithub claim that people only want to listen to the remix and not any other song in the playlist.
I've had small independent artists in my playlist gain a lot of streams and follows because of my playlist.
Now I'm forced to change the title of the playlist and run ads.
Much respect, guys! π«‘ your work is an inspiration for me to keep at it.
