Definitely wasn't expecting Billie Eilish and Pale Waves to be in the same video at all lol. Great video! Crazy how little of your content I've seen but it's top notch every time
Jesse you always talk about these playlists, I understand not taking an opportunity away from yourself, but is that really even something to focus on? like what are the chances of really gettin on there when you have almost no following? (on spotify)
Ok ok… you convinced me :p
Just found you and dude you’re awesome!
I love your videos thank you very much !!
Thanks for all the information you put out! Question- Can I release singles on Spotify, then, once there’s enough for an album, group the songs into an album on Spotify? Or can I submit an entire album, even though the singles from that album are already on there?
I'm "experiencing" this playlist.
Hey, for CSP, you also mention doing something smaller every single week. Can you give a few example on what those smaller releases could be?
How didn't I discover your videos earlier?! That would have saved me so much money and time wasted on Instagram ads… Great job! ❤Binging all of your videos lately.
I love Pale Waves. If they did it, I'll do it lol
why u is spilling the beans m8
Say you just drop an album and 5 of those songs weren’t singles for example. Would you recommend re-releasing those 5 songs as singles?
Would you say, releasing 12 songs as singles, and then the compilation as an album, is a smart move?
Thank you, you just saved me a headache 🙏
Lorde hates this video. lmaooo
Hot tip: if you want to release an album AND then roll out singles every few weeks, release single versions or remix versions as your singles.
6:13 Just say no to Distrokid. You have to pay them every year forever or they pull your music. Spotify doesn't care if you paid Distrokid this month. Once your music is up, it's up. But if you don't pay Distrokid they'll go and take it down. Use Songflowr.
Curious because maybe I'm missing something… What constitutes a "rip-off service"?
I'd rather pay ten or twenty bucks once per single if it's going to stay up there.
I guess I need to get Spotify
Distro kid … pay this guy
I may have missed the bus with this question but, what if you are 5 weeks into your releasing original music and doing a single every week, and you’re just now hearing this advice lol. I love the advice but I’ve gotten a decent, “small town” response with these. But am definitely wanting more. Thank you for giving us such great tips buddy!
It's me, I'm the spotify hack 😂
Love your content Jesse, hugely informative. Also getting through one of your books as well. I have a question about your six weekly promotion strategy. If we are releasing major video events (visualiser, lyric, music vid) every two weeks, with minor events in between, how do we best promote them. Of course we’ll release on our own socials, and in any community we’re part of – what else should we be doing? Or should we just continue doing that? We are never gonna blow up ‘big’ and that’s not even our intent (true!), we just want the songs to get an audience.
What is a screen video???
I have your book and have been impressed, super happy you're on YouTube – subbed. I got millions of plays from remixes but was inconsistent and popped in and out of existence – so those plays did not amount to real fans. I am now doing a singles release strategy, a song a week for a whole year. (I know you suggest once a month but I get more fulfillment from the one a week). So far so good, I'm on week 14, a full 3 months just completed. The plays are slow and low but I'm also gaining subs and connecting. Not to mention it's so satisfying for all parties. I get to release and share music instead of them sitting on my computer, and fans get to hear. If they don't like this week's song, they only have to wait a week to hear the next. I'll be documenting on my channel – and will check back in in about a year – Cheers!
thanks! been working on this! its helped SO much. I used to only release one album a year, and honestly it killed all my momentum!
Great videos man! I have a lot of anxiety about actually releasing things, but these videos make it a lot easier to think about.
I agree 100% singles are the way right now! What do you think about if an artist has the ability or catalog to release a project/album every 4-6 weeks?
Good thing you could reflect on the hands, cause they make me so aggressive.
First of all I love all your videos man, you're the real deal, I appreciate the effort u put on these videos
About the singles release strategy (song w visualiser – lyric video – official video…)
Is it also good to release the official video first and then the lyric video etc, or you think it's better in the order you mentioned?
Thanks
How do you wrap up the group of separately released singles into an EP at the end? Shown at minute 9:21. I use Distrokid
Good stuff mate
You are amazing. You are releasing gems and I'm considering on re-strategizing with your recommended methods. Thank you so much.
Hello Jesse, what is a screen video that is released after the first 2 weeks?
Hi friend!! how are you doing? I have a question for you, cuz i couldn't find the answer anywhere. How they make this single become an EP?? i'm an independent musician from Brazil and im kinda breaking my head to know thant. Thanks i loved your content.
this is incredible. would you recommend a song every 4 weeks or 6 weeks, algorithm wise??
Do you think it would be a good idea to drop one song every day for a year on Spotify?
Dude I can use this advice.
Man you always give good advice
I have to subscribe to your channel 💪🏾
