Going from 0-10,000 fans is the hardest part of building a fanbase. I lay out a few lessons learned on how to get there . I break down:

► Make a goal for yourself and check in on it and evaluate wins and losses
► Consistency is one of the most important aspects of growth which means you need content in the bank.
► Evaluate quality updates you can make that can put you in a place for bigger wins

  1. the video i didnt know i needed, thanks Jesse! still working on my first 1000 fans thru consistent sustained promotion and doing eventful things, looking forward to more growth in 2023

  2. I just started to promote my stuff on TikTok and was suprised how much higher the views are in an even shorter amount of time compared to YouTube. I have like 600 views per video within 24 hours. I wonder what to do from there.

I made 30 second videos about every song I wrote so far, linked my spotify playlist in every video in the comment section and mentioned these links in two of the videos. What could I improve?

  3. Why you’re not getting views? Uhhh… maybe because there are 60,000 songs uploaded to Spotify everyday. And that’s just Spotify. Musicians are a single drop in the ocean. The odds are MASSIVELY against you.

  4. Thank you for sharing the info that you do. I was sick of the YouTube echo chamber that offered nothing of value, but I'm glad I gave your channel a chance. It's keeping my head in the right space to help me get my footing.

  5. I have an artist, engineer, and videographer on my team (all I can afford right now) my weakest area is marketing/content creation and your videos have been helping me out ever since I started watching last year and hope to have some explosive growth this year. I'm looking forward to more videos about the NFT'S

  6. Thanks for putting out consistently high quality content.
I like your review on what worked for you and some of the missteps.
I feel torn as I'd like to continue putting out music marketing related content but don't really have any real world experience like you. So I feel interviewing others who have some form of success in the business is my best strategy.
Also, as an artist I would like to focus on putting out my own music but would need to give up doing this channel as I'd be spreading myself too thinly.
    Any advice?

  7. I’m super happy for you! I’ve been around for about half a year and every vid I’ve watched has been a banger.

I’m currently working on becoming a quality EDM producer. When I’m ready tho, I plan on taking on the marketing aspect you so awesomely talk about more seriously.
