In this episode of SEO Office Hours, we answer Nadine’s question: Does having two similar websites with different domains hurt SEO? If both sites have the same content, Google will usually pick just one to rank. But if they’re aimed at different audiences with tailored messaging, having both can make sense. We break down how Google views duplicate content, when multiple domains are strategic, and what to consider before launching similar sites.

Can this be valid for 2 differenct coutnries like TLD domains
Here is an example for this kind of situation: Let's imagine you sell products for dentists, you want one domain for professionals and one domain for patients. and you'll intelink both of them in the footer. On these two websites, there will be similar articles but with different vocabulary, semantic for two different audiences.
For example: on one website we will have an article entitled "our selection of interdental brushes" for patients and "Enhancing Interproximal Care: Our Interdental Brush Range" for pros
mic sounds good 🙂
If you own two websites that both sell guns and ammunition they will tank both of your websites just like they did for Brownells and Sinclair international
