  1. That's nonsense. You need to listen and understand his specific use of language, the Google guy said, they don't use it in ranking a page. As in, it's not a ranking factor, but it does certainly give context to a page and indicate what a website is trying to rank for.

  2. Can someone tell me if keywords don't matter for ranking why there is a whole site from google (google ads) for you to search for keyword ideas… or does it matter for other things?
