One of my clients is aggressively checking 404 and want me to add 301 on all 404 pages. I tried to tell him that all 404's don't need your attention but some important pages on which you have changed the address are good to go. But he is adamant to add 301. What should I tell him @googlesearchcentral ?

Could you please assist with the following question?
For my company, we have created a new website, transferring most of the information from the previous website into the new one. The url of the website stayed the same, though. Much of the content from the initial website was not imported into the new website. As a result, I now see in Google Search Console three times more pages with 'no-index' than the indexed pages. Most no-index pages seem to be tags, though. Does having more no-index pages than indexed pages affects the overall performance of the website?

As Feedback: One of our devs accidentally migrated a noindex tag from sandbox to production and went unnoticed for a week. It was really painful without the "old" tools to have it reindexed fast after that incident!
Took almost 2 weeks to recover traffic after the fix (removing the noindex) was implemented.
What's in the video is useful for the use cases described, but not for technical incidents that as an SEO I may want to tackle fast
