Come on then Jesse – a penny for your thoughts. I am an overweight, hairy, 44 yr old, dad of 2, making 2000s inspired alt rock/pop-punk music at home. No machine, no budget, no desire to "make it" – but excited to share music and get it heard. So I play the social media game – but I have about as much 'Aura' as a wet towel on a radiator. So what's the play? Continue standing up in front of a camera in my kitchen holding a can of baked beans in the hope it stops the scroll (yep – done that!) or is it simply a lost cause? currently on bottom tier of the ladder (9.5k monthly listeners on spot, 5300 follows on insta).
