Is it still important to offer a site map to users?

In addition to using Webmaster Tools to submit an XML Sitemap to Google, how important is it to also have a sitemap for users? It seems like nobody does this anymore. Is it still important in Web 2.0?

  1. still making videos with no images (why you are not portraying ideas) to show what exactly you are thinking to design the site is not helpful. I think your video can be more responsive.

  2. @onlywhenprovoked no… it would be "ironic" if matt left a comment and it got flagged for spam.

it is not ironic that drwnrxrx's comment got flagged. it's not spam it is just dumb, and bc folks tend to find stuff like that annoying they flag it, just out of spite.

  3. @lillmii3o A sitemap is usefull on complex structured sites and it's usefull because it provides a new overview of the site, wich can be really helpfull for new users or users that still haven't fully understood the structure of your site.
