I could imagine for KCRW or KUPS or some of the more localizes stations that really love indie content this would be perfect. Going to be talking about this one fasho! Thank you Jesse!
It is nice to have that much help in search terms of radio people, but I think that the problem is to get them to play you, no to find contact info. Expect of music most of them never read mail (maybe they would spin you, but they not even check it out…).
I mail sometimes like hundreds of radio stations, and you closely to never get a spin. You get spinned only by your radio plugger or if you know radio guy in person. This is my experience.
I remember the day when I got into a radio station on interview, because rapper that I produced talked that he records with me and I produce him. I sat in radio and said, that's funny I messaged your radio with ask if you want to play me. She laughted, opened mail and told that they have thousands of unopen emails, and even if she want to she probably won't be able to find my old mail.
What if we are under 15 monthly listeners?
People still listen to the radio? π€£
Thank you Jesse!β΄ If anyone wants to try it out and get their music on the radio, just hit us up! π₯π»
Saw this on Matt Bacon's page and already tried it for a month – it is awesome especially for finding specific DJ's
This is genius!!π₯
In my experience, radio submissions go straight to the trash because you are not a label submitting music. With most distributions, iheart radio already has the submission but to get it played, hmm π€ cash cash and more cash.
EPIC
WFMU! RIght on, thanks again Jesse, this is amaaaazingly helpful, as always! I played in The Pit on KFJC the other day. You probably knew folks there from your WFMU days.
