  1. I vote keep it SEO. People are still searching for something and your content and website still needs to be optimized doesn’t matter if they are searching using AI or a traditional search engine or even on social media.

  2. Too many term suggestions out there… I'd stick with something clear like AI SEO (Artificial Intelligence SEO) – it's catchy and sounds like a modern derivative of classic SEO. Would be nice if the community eventually agreed on one name, 'cause all these variations make it harder to stay on the same page.

  3. LLMAO IS THE NEXT BIG THING! ❤‍🔥❤‍🔥❤‍🔥
John Mueller is a legend and a very smart guy. He has indirectly hinted at what the new AI-driven SEO should be called "LLMAO".

  4. I'm facing a major problem. My website was fully indexed, but suddenly it was completely removed from Google's index. Only the home page is indexed. I've tried every possible method to find out the reason, but to no avail. Can you help me identify the cause of the problem and resolve it?

  5. Thanks for the useful news! I'm subscribing to your channel.

Can I ask a quick question here? I recently heard about a Google core update. I was also advised not to make "over-correction responses" during the update period.

My company's website plans to implement "responsive images by device." Would it be better to apply this after the update is complete?

  6. (Posting this comment a 2nd time because it was deleted by someone – so much for free speech eh?). I am on the verge of updating my robots.txt to disallow all search engines from crawling my content. My content took thousands of man hours to produce. To have to scraped by AI is the same as another website scraping mine. How is this even legal? This will result in less traffic, which is no different than what it is right now. If we all did this, AI would have less data to work with.

  7. My vote is SEO, but an adjustment to what the E stands for: EEAT. Search. EEAT. Optimize.
EEAT is focused on authenticity, content, signals from others (building relationships), it houses everything without exclusively being one thing.

  8. Great updates on AI in Search and articles to reference! However, in its most privative form, hasn't AI in Search been in the background since the start of the Google Algorithm?

  9. Thanks for the news. In my opinion, search intent is the most important. Add valuable and high quality content and no need to panic in this era of AI changes.

  10. This idea that clicks will be more significant if they get past the AI Overview is a gross misrepresentation of pretty much most sites apart from ecom. Opportunities to build trust and loyalty with visitors is just out the window. But don't worry… build unique, compelling and high quality content… so it can be strip mined by LLMs…
Next up… lets start removing query details.. and replace with search trends in GSC! Thanks so much JM…

  11. SEO is the real name because contents needs to be indexed into the search engine index before any AI tool including the AI mode can get response…😊
