If you're enjoying this video and want more like it. I am pretty much following your 60 day plan to the letter dude, it has been incredibly helpful
This channel has the best and most insightful information that I have found on the topic of music promotion. I think you are right that 'sitting in the chair' maybe isn't working though. I think you could improve the channel if you incorporated artist interviews and documentary sections demonstrating modern promotional techniques that concretely and specifically demonstrate the principles of promotion you are advocating for. It's likely to be considerably more labor intensive to produce. So maybe hire someone to help out.
I think it's because most people jsut want to get rich and you're teaching and preaching the boring part of it, the actual community and love for the genre you gotta have. People are dead inside beat up by life and never had anything. They're operating from survival.
You should try and make a video titled something like " How to find and fund an artist so you can get rich" just to see how it well it do.
Honestly bro, I've been learning so much from your work/videos I never even payed attention to your views or subs, I thought it would of easily been in the millions but just checking back on old videos now and looking at the views is kinda crazy 20-30k for something I would of assumed had over a million but was too busy watching and learning to even notice. You're channel is incredible man, it's definitely working don't worry, I think its getting to the people that need it the most. like myself 🙂
I love your content Jesse. Please keep going, your videos are infinitely valuable!
Great page!
I've been slowly preparing to put my music out after years of my life going in a different direction. This channel has been an incredible resource to get ready!
I recently found you and I'm so grateful that you're here sharing your knowledge and wisdom! Just ordered your books and starting to dive into the community search.
Thank you for being here!!
But I hypothesize that may musicians are looking for instant gratification and aren't willing to put in real work, so your realistic advice probably doesn't appeal to them.
Please don't stop these. You've opened my eyes to so much in an easy to understand fashion. Clear and concise. Please keep it up!!
Yo I just found your channel, definitely underrated value. I guarantee people aren't sticking around because of your delivery. If you can cut the teleprompter and deliver key points more authentically, even if it's not exactly what you want to say, I reckon you'll have much higher viewer retention. Cheers.
is the advice to drop every 8 weeks still relevant? Feel like industry people now are pushing for 4-6 weeks
big fan of your channel and style!
lol, the maga milf got me
So thankful for you!
It's working for me!
I just found you! Please don’t stop. So much good info you are providing
This was exactly what I needed to hear
You should contact Clauneck.

Don't give up Jesse. You have THE BEST channel on music promotion for new emerging artists. I love your straight forward style…..no BS, just what really works and what doesn't. I have watched almost all of your videos at this point. I haven't commented on all but they are all amazing and packed with useful information. This is off topic, but could you make a video on the differences and how to go about 1. copyrighting songs, 2. publishing songs, 3. distributing music. This seems like the "holy trinity" of what is necessary before one's music is put out for the public to consume. Maybe one video could cover it all? Is songtrust best for publishing, etc? Is copyrighting necessary or are your songs already copywritten once you publish them? I doubt it but others have said they are.
As an artist truly just at the beginning with hardly any audience yet, it is educators like you who make it possible to even know which steps to begin to take. Although not many people listen to my music yet, I treat each release like reps at the gym, just making sure I show up and put in my best effort, regardless of who's watching or what the outcome is. Without educators like you I would have no idea what to do in this time, but you help keep me focused and on track to keep growing. Thank you for what you do!
You’ve mapped so many musicians journeys and I hope to not see you dip out on us. Would love to work with you personally!
Evolve with your talents 🎉
Please, don't stop 🙏 I love your channel! It's great and very informative. There are just too many people that click a video and don't bother watching it up till the end and that's what mostly ruin the algorithm. I am maybe old school in this, but I never do such thing. Especially when knowing how much time and effort a creator puts into it. Keep it up Jesse ❤
Dude! I tell at least one new artist about your channel every week! Your content is unreal
Bro you are a genius. this video is genius. pls don’t stop!
thank you for saying i shouldn't necessarily jump to selling strangers shit merch w/ urgent pop-ups and ads 🙂
This is why we stopped doing Bridge The Atlantic. After literally years of grinding nonstop, we just weren’t seeing the growth and monetization that we needed to justify continuing the show. After five years of not doing interviews, we have spent a year planning our relaunch. I mention this because we burnt ourselves out and were too focused on numbers rather than focusing on making our show better. We love what you’re doing and would love to reconnect and help each other grow while helping other artists do the same. -M
Hi Jesse, your channel is awesome! And I really learned a lot. I don’t think there is any problem with your Information presentation either. That’s just me personally. We are here to be informed, not entertained. I subbed. I have a pretty serious problem. Vast majority of my songs are in mandarin. I have always often written in mandarin. But then I realized I am in Australia where everyone here speaks English. And I run another YouTube channel all in English as a pharmacist talking about medication. Many of my current subscribers in my new artist channel comes from there whom majority of them speaks English. You talked a lot about targeting.. that’s depressing for me.. people who listens to chinese songs listen less to English songs vise versa. I am now starting to write English songs, so I better connect with English speaking people. After all, my whole environment speaks English. But i recon bulk majority of my best work are in mandarin. The people who listen to mandarin are Taiwan and Hong Kong, some in Singapore and malaysia. They don’t t really speak English. When I promote these songs, what language should I be speaking in? My current followers are mostly English speaking audiences…
I am here! I love your channel. Thank you!
I swear by this channel man. It literally is the most legit Spotify and Music Marketing channel I've watched and you seem so happy to help out up and coming musicians, and I write notes on all that you say for when I'm going to release my own music, thank you for all of your help man, I hope you stay around giving this vital information, of which you update each year! Love the work man.
Just got added to Spotify’s Fresh Finds Country editorial playlist largely due to the information on your channel man, so thank you🙌🏼
Any advice on how to continue staying in favor of the Spotify editorial curators going forward?
Jesse, here's some unasked for feedback:
Your videos were really, really strong when you did essays on one topic at a time.
The streams weren't as compelling to me, since they kind of dragged on and weren't as "on point" anymore. I tried watching them anyway, but my attention battery seemed to get drained by them. And since my brain is pretty much as fried as anyone elses, I think that might be a problem. This vid seems pretty strong again, btw.
Thanks for your content, you're amazing!
what if you did a series where you actually worked with some really small artists so that you can show actual real examples of the techniques you talk about
Broo, you always dropping gold nuggets, thank you so much! 🙏🏼
I watch regularly. While I truly enjoy the information, you come off as a prickly person. I am neither left or right, but your politics gets in the way and is a turn off.
May I suggest you become more of a storyteller to explain your content. Underdog Ed at the Film Booth YT channel would be an excellent example.
Hey Jesse, we will always be loyal to your page!.. 1 question – On Spotify, the main songs that are displayed on a profile i think its the 'popular list'.. Can you customise that some how in spotify for artists or any where, On my page some of my highest streaming songs (one with 4m) dont show up in there, really want to edit it so it displays some of the higher streaming ones on that main section ? Thanks in advance!
I just found this channel today so plz don’t stop
This channel is awesome bro ❤
I just found ur page today and u helped a lot dawg keep goin
Thinking of starting a Youformation channel to help Jesse grow his fanbase. But in all seriousness Jesse, these vids are super helpful and I hope you don't stop making them!
Jesse you are the saviour of music marketing
JESSE ALWAYS DROPPING HARD FACTS – @808jezus
As an artist I have received more education and inspiration from this channel than any other content out there. I can't thank you enough.
Jesse you produce the most thoughtful and inspirational content I’ve found to help motivate the (often arduous) process of music marketing. Excited to see the evolution of the channel of but want to express sincere appreciation for your art my dude.
Love the content. Your thumbnail game could improve though. I don't know the secret to perfect thumbnails but I know there is a way
Thank you Jesse for being so open and honest about this subject. It's much easier to create Facebook adds for meaningless plays than do the actual community work and research. This information in this channel is like a hidden gem. Keep up the good work!
