Is there a way to do a good video without being in the video yourself? I'd imagine the 'visual spectacle" would fall into that category, like some radiohead videos. But is a radiohead style video like that effective if you aren't already established?
Love the new format (and Portishead Tee), Jesse! We've been following the advice in your videos for over a year. Took some time to create a music video for our first single, The Labyrinth, which resulted in 10x more views than normal, including 2k in the first couple days! Used the 'Spectacle' (psychedelic) mixed with the 'Who We Are' (artrock) formats. 1 day of storyboarding/planning + 1 day of shooting + 2 weeks of editing everything ourselves all paid off! I'm Brazilian and I wanted to promote my music to the USA, but I don't know how, mainly because most of the social media algorithms promote posts to people that live nearby and I don't have the money to move there and make live performances.
Most people tell me to just use a VPN but I would really love to hear your thoughts about this concept!
