Jesse Jackson, Baptist minister, civil rights leader, and founder of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition became involved in the civil rights movement as an undergraduate. In 1966, he joined the march in Selma, AL, lead by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. He has continued fighting for equality ever since.
Recently, Jackson has focused his attention on Silicon Valley, asking the industry leaders to take a hard look at their diversity stats.
Reverend Jackson joined us for an AMA last July to answer your questions on everything from diversity issues to PB&J preferences. Check it out.
