Summary of this Tutorial:
If you prefer using Bing maps over using Google Maps from one of our previous videos there are two ways to do this.
If you do not wish to use a plugin you go to Bing Maps and find the location or map you want to embed and click on the Share button.
When the popup appears click on ‘Customize and preview’ which will open up a window for you to customize your map. Once you are satisfied with the preview click the ‘Generate Code’ button and insert that code into a text widget, a page, or a post.
If you want to use a plugin to add maps you first install the Leaflet Map Marker plugin.
With the plugin installed you can then create an account on the Bing Maps Portal website. With that account you can click on ‘Create or view keys’ and create a basic key for a Public Website.
Add the generated key to your Maps Marker Settings and set your Maps Marker default map to Bing Maps. With that done to generate a new map go to Maps Marker, Add New Marker and you can set up your map from there then hit publish.
Finally take the shortcode that is generated and paste it into your posts or pages.
