Have you ever wanted to add an event timeline to your site? They can be useful for displaying a timeline of your site but there normally is not a simple way to add this to your site. In this video, we will show you how to add a beautiful event timeline in WordPress.

You will want to start by installing and activating the Timeline Express plugin. Once it is activated you need to visit Timeline Express, Add New Announcement to add your first announcement or event.
Simply provide a title for the announcement or event, select a color, date, and icon. Font Awesome icons are built in to the plugin.
You can add an announcement image which will be used as the banner which needs to be 650px wide or larger.
When you finish adding your announcement you can publish it and repeat the process for more announcements.
With your announcements you will need to display them on your website. Start by creating a page in WordPress and give it a title for your timeline.
Add the shortcode [timeline-express] in the post editor and click on the publish button.
